Classroom set up

This is a classroom layout for a typical 4th or 5th grade class room.

When I was in elementary and middle school we did not have projection screens or monitors for the students. Because of that was before technology was a huge part of the educational system although we had a computer lab that had to be shared with all the other students in the school. My elementary school did not have the best of the best or hardly anything special but it was a very good elementary school that could have used better teaching methods and technologies. Still to this day the elementary school I attended did not have any computers in their classrooms although there is still the one computer lab that is shared by all the students in the school. The main reason they have the computer lab is for the Accelerated Reader program and to teach the students how to type.

The way the classroom is set up is important in the way that students learn and how the teachers navigate the classroom. There are many programs on the internet that can be used to set up the classrooms also the way the class room is set up helps with foundations of the beginning of school for younger students, to learn not to talk to the other children around them and also when given time to play in the classroom meet others who may want to play with them because they are in the same area/table/cluster of seats.

Because the way classrooms are set up is essential for how well students learn as well as helps the teacher navigate the classroom it varies and it can be changed on a whim and have the students help as well as with the organization of the classroom.
